Many say, “Don’t get caught up in dry theology. It only makes you proud, you should just trust God and love others.” Others say, “Don’t just live the Christian life ignorantly. You need dusty tomes and knowledge of Greek to be close to God.”
When it comes down to the nitty-gritty of actually following Christ, neither and both are true. It is when I am hit over the head with an amazing truth about God that I am motivated to go out and love my neighbor. Likewise, it is when I find myself actually turning the other cheek or going the extra mile that I truly understand what it means to be a Little Christ. The two are not opposed, they are inseparable.
